The City of Toronto in collaboration with Canada Lands Company will be hosting an Open House for the Downsview West District Plan to provide an opportunity for the community and stakeholders to share feedback on the future of the neighbourhood. The District Plan details the neighbourhood-level vision that will guide the implementation of the Downsview Secondary Plan and will be brought to Council for endorsement.
Location: Downsview Public Library – 2793 Keele Street – Toronto, ON – M3M 2G3
Timing: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 – 4:00–8:00 PM
Downsview West will be a mixed‑use neighbourhood with housing, employment opportunities, and community amenities including:
• Approximately 9,200 homes, including 20% affordable units
• At least 89,200 square metres (960,140 square feet) of non‑residential space
• One school and three daycares
• About 2 hectares (4.9 acres) of public parks
• An additional 2.5 hectares (6.1 acres) of privately owned publicly accessible open space
