The Site
At about 30 hectares in size, Downsview West is an emerging neighbourhood bordered by Sheppard Avenue West to the west and north, the Metrolinx Barrie GO rail line to the east, and Carl Hall Road to the south. The proposed new neighbourhood will feature new homes, jobs, and parks—connected with new streets and open spaces and located close to the Downsview Park TTC and GO Station and beautiful Downsview Park. The historic Supply Depot at 40 Carl Hall Road will gradually be integrated into the new community with various amenities, a variety of outdoor gathering spaces, and new commercial leasing opportunities.
